2012 To-Do List!
Instead of making pointless resolutions that always seem to follow through (I have no idea why…), I thought maybe making a to-do list for the year would seem more interesting. So maybe it is not about the immediate resolution, but over the span of 365 days (less than that now since it is the 16th) I can do the things I want to do on my own time and on my own pace. Let’s keep it simple and easy and very fun, shall we?
1. Get my tragus pierced.
- Yes yes. Everyone is getting one these days.. its like some sort of fad or whatever, but I really like the piercing! Its simple and can be easily covered or exposed. I like the placement and that would bring my ear piercings to a grand total of six! That may not be a lot, but six is my lucky number. I like that
2. Visit the Oregon Coast!
- This one I am really looking forward to doing! I haven’t been to the beach in about… five years? I miss the smell of salty ocean and looking for strange little crabs I used to call Waynes that dig into the sand and nibble on you when the tide comes in. And crabbing?? What you know about that HATER! My ultimate favorite coast activity. I like looking at the cute seals and just enjoying the beach life. Its not like 90 degrees beach weather, but it is by far one of my favorite places to visit in the summer.
3. Get good grades in school this year!
- Last semester I pulled out a 3.2 which is alright in college standards, but I think I can do better than that! With such amazing classes this semester, great friends, and Monday’s and Friday’s with no school, this goal should be attainable…
4. Build my photography career
- I really want to improve my photography skills and get a brand name going so I can copyright my photos. I’d like to travel somewhere (the Oregon Coast would be perfect!!!) and get some practice in with different surroundings than what we have here: desert and odd people. Maybe this goal could also involve entering photos into a contest and see how they stand up to others as well. Its a broad goal, but I like it like that. It makes room for a lot of different options, if they were to arise.
5. Get certified as someone who can teach swimming lessons
- Although, I am a swim coach at the high school I graduated from, it would help me with this job to be able to teach inexperienced girls how to swim better. There is a class coming up in May and I look forward to taking it!!!
As for now, those are my five to-do items. Here is to you, 2012! Cheers.
